When someone contacts me to photograph their "wild little family," I say: Bring.It.On. In truth, family photo shoots are hard and each child you add the harder it gets. That said, I always look for the mini-moments going on within the larger chaos. People don't hire me because they want air-brushed, hair-perfect, controlled photographs. They hire me because, although exhausting, they appreciate the frenzy that is a young family and they want a photographer who appreciates it just the same.
